A little about me…

I love doing anything outdoors such as kayaking, fishing, and exploring historical places in my home state of Virginia and beyond. I am always excited to travel to any new places that I can. I love experiencing new environments, people, and most importantly new food. Baking is another passion of mine, often when I am stressed with school you can find me in the kitchen baking some sort of cookie or bread. You can also always find me listening to Taylor Swift any chance that I get, my favorite album of hers is Lover.

Student Action Climate Summit

Over this past weekend I had the pleasure of being able to attend the annual UMW Student Action Climate Summit. This event is great for networking and hearing from local environmental groups all around Fredericksburg and Beyond. On Friday there was a discussion panel from multiple people in or around the field work regarding the environment. The panelists were funny but also offered great perspectives on environmental issue such as data centers.

Hello world!

Welcome to my blog for Comm270AA! This journal explores my relationship with the environment and how I communicate with the space around us. This blog will document my experiences, reflections, and insights on engaging with nature and sustainability in everyday life.

I will be sharing my participation in activities such as going on walks to observe and appreciate nature, volunteering with the Food Rescue Network to help combat food waste, and exploring other ways to contribute to a more sustainable world. My goal is to not only reflect on these experiences but also to encourage thoughtful discussions about our impact on the environment and how we can make more conscious choices.

Join me on this journey as I navigate the intersections of environmental communication, personal action, and community involvement!
